How to Connect Liabilities Automatically

The fastest way to add liabilities to your Findex portfolio is by connecting your bank or lender. Findex supports 50+ financial providers and will automatically import your loans, mortgages, and other debts alongside your assets.

How It Works

When you connect a provider, Findex securely pulls your financial data — including any liabilities tied to your accounts, such as mortgages, credit lines, and loans. Your liability data is then kept up to date through regular data syncs.

Connecting a Provider

  1. Go to Portfolio > Liabilities.

  2. Click the Add Liability button.

  3. Select Connect Provider.

  1. Browse or search the list of available providers.

  2. Select your bank or lender (e.g., Nordea, SEB, Swedbank, and more).

  1. Follow the authentication steps for your chosen provider. This usually involves logging in with your bank credentials or completing a BankID verification.

  2. Once authenticated, Findex will import your accounts — including any liabilities associated with them.

After Connecting

Once the connection is established:

  • Your liabilities will appear in the Liabilities list with a provider badge showing they were imported automatically.

  • Key details like remaining debt, interest rate, and maturity date will be populated from your provider's data.

  • Findex will sync your data regularly to keep balances and amortization amounts up to date.

  • You can see the connection status and last sync time in Settings > Providers & Integrations.

Already Connected a Provider for Assets?

If you've already connected a bank account to import your investments, any liabilities on that account will have been imported at the same time. Check your Portfolio > Liabilities list — your debts may already be there.

Tips

  • Connect multiple providers — You can connect as many accounts as you need. Each provider's liabilities will be added to your portfolio.

  • Check your connection status — If a session expires, you'll see a notification. Head to Settings > Providers & Integrations to reconnect.

  • Your data is read-only — Findex only reads your financial data. It cannot make payments or changes to your accounts.

  • Assets and liabilities import together — When you connect a provider, both your holdings and debts are pulled in, so you get a complete picture.
