Overview

Under Settings > Account Settings > Graph & Snapshots, you can control how Findex displays your portfolio charts and snapshots. These settings determine which data points appear on your graphs, how date ranges are handled, and how snapshots of your portfolio are captured over time.

Adjusting Graph Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings from the main menu.

  2. Select Graph & Snapshots under Account Settings.

  3. Review the available graph options, such as:

    • Default time range -- Choose the default period displayed when you open your dashboard (e.g., 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, all time).

    • Currency display -- Select which currency your portfolio values are shown in.

    • Graph type preferences -- Toggle between different visualization styles if available.

  4. Adjust any settings to your preference and click Save.

Understanding Snapshots

Snapshots capture a point-in-time record of your portfolio value. They are used to build your historical performance chart, showing how your total wealth has changed over time.

  • Snapshots are taken automatically on a regular basis.

  • They record the total value of all connected accounts and manually added assets.

  • The more snapshots you have, the more detailed your performance graph becomes.

Managing Snapshot Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Graph & Snapshots.

  2. Review any available snapshot preferences, such as frequency or included accounts.

  3. Make your changes and click Save.

Tips

  • Give it time. Your performance graph becomes more useful as Findex collects more snapshots. If you are new, the graph will fill in over the coming weeks.

  • Keep providers connected. Snapshots rely on up-to-date data from your connected accounts. Make sure your provider connections stay active for accurate tracking.

  • Check your currency. If your graph values look unexpected, double-check that the correct display currency is selected in your settings.
