How to Limit or Hide IR Information for Shareholders

Not every piece of information needs to be visible to every shareholder. Findex gives you granular control over which IR widgets your shareholders can see, so you can share exactly what you want -- nothing more, nothing less.

Overview

Shareholder Permissions let you toggle the visibility of individual widgets on the shareholder-facing IR dashboard. You decide which data points shareholders have access to, and a live preview shows you exactly what their experience will look like. Configuration is available on desktop only.

Available Widgets

You can show or hide each of the following widgets independently:

  • Latest Share Price -- The current price per share.

  • Outstanding Shares -- Total number of shares currently issued.

  • Equity Raised -- Total equity capital raised to date.

  • Company Valuation -- The company's current valuation.

  • Ownership Distribution -- A breakdown of who owns what percentage.

  • Investor Updates -- The timeline of communications sent to shareholders.

  • Cap Table -- The full capitalization table with shareholder details.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log in to Findex on a desktop browser (this feature is not available on mobile).

  2. Navigate to the IR Portal and open Company Settings from the sidebar.

  3. Select the Shareholder Permissions tab.

  4. You will see a list of all available widgets, each with a Show/Hide toggle.

  5. Click the toggle next to any widget to turn it on (visible) or off (hidden) for shareholders.

  6. Watch the live preview panel on the right side of the screen -- it updates in real time to reflect your changes.

  7. Once you are satisfied with the configuration, click Save to apply your settings.

Note: Screenshot should capture the full permissions page with several toggles in different states (some on, some off) and the live preview visible on the right.

Tips

  • Use the live preview to see exactly what shareholders will experience before saving. This prevents accidental over-sharing or under-sharing.

  • If you are unsure about a widget, err on the side of hiding it. You can always enable it later without any disruption.

  • Remember that this configuration applies to all shareholders equally. You cannot set different visibility per individual shareholder at this time.

  • These settings only control the IR dashboard widgets. Other IR features like direct communications are managed separately.

  • Revisit your permissions periodically, especially after fundraising rounds or major company milestones, to ensure the right information is visible.
