What is an IR Asset? (Investor Relations)
An IR asset is a special type of investment in your Findex portfolio that is created and managed by a company through the Findex IR Portal. Unlike regular assets that you add and update yourself, an IR asset is controlled by the company you've invested in — giving you an accurate, up-to-date view of your shareholding without any manual effort.

How You Get an IR Asset
You don't create IR assets yourself. Here's how they appear in your portfolio:
A company using the Findex IR Portal adds your email to their shareholder list.
You receive an invitation (by email and in Settings > My IR Invites).
You accept the invitation.
The asset appears automatically in your Portfolio > Investments list.

What the Company Controls
When a company manages your IR asset, they are responsible for:
Share count — The number of shares you hold, updated if there are new issuances or transfers.
Valuation — The per-share price or total valuation of your holding.
Company information — The name, description, and details associated with the investment.
You can view all of this information on the asset's detail page, but you cannot change these fields yourself.
What You Can Still Do
Even though the company manages the core data, you can still:
View the asset in your portfolio alongside all your other investments.
See it reflected in your net worth, diversification breakdown, and ROI calculations.
Attach documents to the asset for your own records, such as shareholder agreements or correspondence.
Tips
IR assets update automatically — You never need to manually adjust the valuation. The company pushes updates directly to your portfolio.
Look for the IR badge — IR assets are clearly labeled in your investments list so you can tell them apart from self-managed assets at a glance.
One company, one IR asset — Each company invitation creates a single IR asset in your portfolio representing your total holding in that company.
